The weather in Fallarbor Town was rather brisk in the daytime, and blisteringly cold in the night. Remiel had been hiking in Meteor Falls a few days prior, and found himself on the other side of it before long. Deciding to take a day off for himself and visit Fallarbor, he had checked into a motel and awoken the next day to make an early trip to its famous Glass Market.[break][break]

But first? A coffee.

Having chosen Thorgrim the Galarian Meowth as his companion for the day, Remiel wrapped himself up in a grey shemagh scarf and ventured out in warm clothing. The first café he came across, an establishment named Spindabucks, was only a few blocks away from the plaza that housed the Glass Market. So, opening its door and chiming the bell that hung upon it, he entered.[break]

Razz really doesn't know what he's doing with himself or how he lets himself get roped into these situations. Somehow Sénon Game had talked him into doing a contest later and now he needed to think of a way to do that. Sure he may be off work, but these activities definitely weren't his style. So that was how he found himself here in the coffee shop as the contest was suppose to take place he later on. With him he had the pokemon he was entering as they thought of a possible way to compete. He is letting them have a little snack before the competition. [break][break]

That was when the familiar figure of the Prince comes in, "Calcifet," Razz calls out since his table was next to the door anyways, he raises his ice coffee in slight greeting. He'd give an invite should the prince desire it.

"Kingsman." The prince answers, lowering the shemagh from the lower-half of his face to reveal his mouth. Thorgrim, in the meantime, stands on his tippy-toes and sniffs at the air. The cat rubs past Remiel's legs to advance towards the nearby pastry section.[break][break]

Remiel, in the meantime, moves to stand closer to Razz's table. "I didn't expect to see you here. League business?" He inquiries, casting a glance at the lad's pokémon. Salem he knows, and offers the cat a polite nod. The Elekid, on the other hand, he'd never seen before. He indifferently looks at that one for a moment.[break][break]

"Not really, I'm currently on medical leave," he chuckles weakly as he gestures to the bruises on the left side of his face. While Razz is happy that they've faded so they were now a purple and green rather than the purple and red it used to be it was clear he had some healing to do still. "Feel free to grab a chair if you plan on staying," the ranger offers as he takes a drink as his pokemon snack on their treats. [break][break]

"Meet Zarin," he gestures to the Elekid who gives a simple nod to the other. Clearly a much more serious natured in comparison to Salem.

Those who knew him well enough knew that Remiel wasn't prone to being emotional. That included showing worry, anger, or any great deal of sympathy. When Razz mentioned his medical leave, however, and revealed the bruised side of his face, the ambassador was shocked. Being a trainer (or, especially, a ranger) in Hoenn certainly wasn't the safest profession. But something about seeing Kingsman this way...[break][break]

He hardly spared a glance at Zarin from here on out. Or, for that matter, taking a seat. Instead, he chose to refocus on the revelation at hand. It seemed much more pressing. "What happened?" He asks, crossing his arms and leaning forward to inspect the injuries a bit more closely. "It looks like a bloody train hit you, lad..."[break]

While Razz himself was terrible at reading emotion in others Salem very much wasn't. And with how often he's saw the Prince since his trainer first met him it was almost a surprise to see the shock. The cat makes a comment to the Elekid as if this were some scandal of the century not they understood why. Razz just raises a brow at the cat knowing he said something but he missed it. Salem just waves a hand dismissively as Razz listens. [break][break]

"Mission gone array sadly, I'll be fine thankfully, you've been well?" he ask as a way to change the subject, though part of him feels like it might not be that simple.

"H-Hey! You need to pay for those! Hello?! Is this anyone's grandpa cat?!" One of the baristas behind the counter exclaimed, fending off Thorgrim as he tried to clamber over and steal a croissant from a basket. Turning over his shoulder to regard the scene with a sigh, Remiel raises a hand in apology at Razz. "I'm sorry, give me one moment." He says, swiftly stepping away to deal with his situation.[break][break]

Moments later, Remiel returns with an entire basket of croissants in hand and an americano for himself. He takes the seat Razz previously offered, then places the basket at the center of the table for the pokémon (and his friend) to partake in. Thorgrim, in particular, happily sits under the table with one in each hand. He can't seem to keep himself from chuckling as he eats away at them.[break][break]

"I'm far too lenient on this cat..." The royal grumbles, pulling open the lid of his americano to tear open some bags of raw sugar and pour them in. "But I apologize... you were saying something about a mission?" He adds, cobalt eyes flicking upwards to look at the man's injuries once more.[break]

Razz just nods as the prince excuses himself to take care of his cat, part of him amused to know that it seems like his pokemon weren't the only troublemakers. Every time he met with the man his pokemon were so well behaved so it was a nice change of pace. [break][break]

Though it seems his attempt to change the subject was a futile one and the young man is left wondering just how much he should tell. "Like I said mission gone awry, it looks worse than it feels really," he tried to assure the other not wanting them to worry. "I'm sure your new year has been going much better?" he attempts once more

Razz seems stubborn to divulge any more information on his mission than he needs to. Briefly, Remiel feels like he's struck a chord... or perhaps Razz doesn't trust him enough to share what happened. Which, depending on the circumstances, was probably the smart play.[break][break]

Regardless of the reason, the ambassador finishes pouring the last brown sugar packet in his americano and sighs. "Very well..." He inserts a stirring stick into his brew, then begins to slowly stir its contents. "Perhaps you've heard about the Four Region Coalition?" He casually inquiries, focused on his task as his Galarian Meowth scarfs down its bread down below.[break]

There is a small sigh of relief when the other seems to drop the topic for now. Maybe later, or another time he'll feel more comfortable about giving the information, but honestly that night left him terrified. It was a vulnerability that was exposed that he really didn't want explored too closely. [break][break]

"Four Region Coalition? Can't say I have, whats this?" he inquires as Salem seems to tug at Remiel to ask if he and the elekid could have some of what was in the basket as well.

The americano, having previously been mixed with half and half, steadily becomes a lighter shade of brown as it is mixed. The miniature whirlpool within it dissolves the brown sugar evenly throughout. When Remiel is done, he taps the stirring stick dry against the edge of the cup, then places it upon a neatly laid out napkin with the emptied packets of sugar before placing his cup's lid back on.[break][break]

"Oh? I suppose print is a dying medium." He smiles slightly, carefully folding one leg across another. He regards the Meowstic's tug with a look, then nods before reaching over for a croissant and handing it over to the cat. If he wants another for the Elekid, then he'll have to ask again. "The Four Region Coalition is something I'm working on... a means to deter large threats like the Megalopolans." He begins.[break]

Score! Salem happily calls as the Galarian hands him a bread. Though for him this just meant that yes they could have some, so he hands the baby pokemon the piece he got before he'd use his own psychic powers to grab one for himself. [break][break]

"In my defense, no paper boy really shows up at the apartments I live at," Razz slightly jest in his own defense, though it was more funny in the truth of it as his apartments was in a difficult area to get to on his island so they didn't bother. As it was they had a mail bird rather than a mail man. "Oh? And just what will this Coalition have that would deter threats like that?"

Remiel hardly regards the floating croissant as it lifts itself from the basket and floats over to the Meowstic's paws. Out of the corner of his eye, he does notice the Elekid gnawing on the one he'd given shortly before. There's no scorn or disappointment to be had on his end, however. In fact, he admires Salem's initiative to help his companion.[break][break]

"What a shame. If you'd like, I could petition the Dragonite Delivery service to take a look into expanding towards your side of the region. They've done well to service my postal needs at the vineyard." He takes a moment to enjoy a careful sip of his americano afterwards. Only when he's finished does he answer Razz's latest inquiry, settling back into his seat and setting his cup down. "Unity." He simply states.[break][break]

"When the war began, Hoenn was outmanned and outgunned. Even after I managed to convince Galar to send its reinforcements, we struggled. Now that the war is over, the world is beginning to realize there is much more to Hoenn than meets the eye."[break]

"Thanks but no thanks, I'm close to finally be able to afford a new place so I won't be staying in that part of the island for much longer," Razz is quick to dismiss, "Besides Sootopolis City isn't too terrible on it's delivery, the apartments I live is just located in a very difficult to reach place normally, its why the rent was so cheap," he chuckles as he takes a drink. Well there was more to it than just that but that was another can of worms of it's own. [break][break]

"Much more? Is this due to it's recent troubles and treasures?" Razz inquires knowing that the region had it's fair share of problems, but when it brought things such as the rumored Avatars, or even things like their plates they've uncovered that brought more to the region despite it's dangers. Sure the plates were secret but he was sure there were other things that brought foreigners to Hoenn.
